How to play
Type a five-letter Turkish word, press Enter, read the colours.
| k | Green — right letter, right place. |
| a | Yellow — the letter is in the word, but in another position. |
| t | Grey — that letter is not in the word at all. |
Six guesses. The daily word is shared by everyone and rotates at midnight UTC; endless practice uses the same list at random.
Turkish letters count as letters
Turkish has 29 letters, and the game treats ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü as separate letters — not as accented versions of c, g, i, o, s and u. That is the whole point: a Turkish word game that pretends “ı” is “i” is not a Turkish word game.
No Turkish keyboard? Tap the on-screen keys. On a physical keyboard the six extra letters work directly.
Why only about 110 words?
Because guesses have to be real words for the game to be fair, and the answer list has to be words a learner can plausibly produce. The list is deliberately everyday vocabulary: food, animals, city, weather, family, adjectives. No obscure Ottoman loanwords.
Five openings that work for Turkish
- KALEM — k, a, l, e, m: the most common consonants, plus the vowel.
- ŞARKI — ş, k, r, ı: tests the dotless ı early.
- ÇORBA — ç, b, r, a, o: covers ç and the o/ö family.
- BULUT — b, u, l, t: a second vowel and clean consonants.
- GÜNEŞ — ğ, ü, ş: the three letters English speakers dodge.
Two openings cover most of the frequent letters; after that, narrow by position, not by guessing whole words.
Make it the daily family ritual
Everyone plays the same word, then posts the grid. Nobody has to be fluent to take part — a nine-year-old with three letters in the right place has the same grid as an adult with three.

Türkçe Kelime — FAQ
How do you play Türkçe Kelime?
Type a five-letter Turkish word and press Enter. Green means the letter is correct and in the right place, yellow means it exists in the word but sits elsewhere, grey means it is not in the word at all. You have six guesses.
Is there one word a day?
Yes. The daily word is the same for everyone and changes at midnight UTC. When you finish it you can switch to endless practice, which serves random words from the same list.
How do Turkish letters work in the game?
Turkish has 29 letters and the game treats each one as a single tile: ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş and ü are separate letters, not variants of c, g, i, o, s and u. The on-screen keyboard has rows for all of them, and a physical keyboard works too.
Can I play without a Turkish keyboard?
Yes — tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard. If you do type on a physical keyboard, ç/ğ/ı/ö/ş/ü are accepted directly.
What words does the game accept?
Around 110 common five-letter Turkish nouns and adjectives — food, family, city life, animals, weather and everyday adjectives. Guesses outside the list are rejected so the answer stays fair.
Where can I see my statistics?
Played games, win rate, current streak and best streak are stored in your browser and shown on the result screen. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.
